LISCR FC continues their build up for the coming football season, as they continue to make more addition to their squad. The Gardnersville based club have announced the signing of four Gambian players from 12-times Gambian First League champions, Real de Banjul and first league club, Bombada Football Club. Their Gambian head coach, Tapha Manneh might have been enjoying his vacation with his family the Gambia after a record debut season in Liberian football where he won two titles, but the 52-year old tactician has not forgotten to prepare his team for the upcoming season where he will be the target of many coaches that would want to put an end to his dominance.

While many are expecting the double title winning coach back in the country to prepare his team for the new season, the club surprisingly announced that they have secure the services of defensive duo, Arona Jabang and Adama Sabally, and forward Bully Drammeh from Real de Banjul and striker Mustapha Njie from Bombada` for an undisclosed amount. The Gambians signed a three-year deal each with the Shipping Boys. The new acquisitions mean that the club has added eight new names to their list since the close of the 2016-17 season. They have brought in, Amadiah Kawah from Keitrace Football Club and former BYC’s players Mark Paye and Hilton Varney on a free transfer. Defensive midfielder Benjamin Doe was promoted from their youth team, Gardnersville Football Club.

LISCR is the 2016-17 Liberia first division league and FA Cup. They set a new record in Liberian football by becoming the only club to win the league unbeaten. The club played 22 matches unbeaten to win the First Division League. Their only defeat was in the semifinals of the FA Cup when the narrowly lost 3-2 to Keitrace FC in the first leg. As champions of the First Division, the club will represent Liberia in the 2018 CAF Champions league which is believed to be their major target as they seek to enter the group stage of the competition.
