The secretary general of LISCR Football Club, Swen Bedell has told LISCR FC that there has been no damage to Hilton Varney who was forced out of the 2-1 win over Watanga FC in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup on Saturday, September 29 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.
Varney collapsed on the pitch in the 33rd minute during the FA Cup win over Watanga after colliding with Watanga’s goalkeeper, James Kolubah.
The secretary general said that he was inform by the team doctors that Varney is responding well to the treatment and he’s expected to be back soon.
“There has been no damage to Hilton Varney ribs from the result shown by the x-ray. He’s been diagnosed of cold and he’s been giving treatment. The team doctors are working to help him recover soon. Hopefully he’ll be with the rest of team shortly”, Mr. Bedell said.
Bedell further extended thanks and appreciation to the fans and everyone that has been showing concern since the incident. He said they
