LISCR FC will go in search of their fourth FA Cup title when they take on Barrack Young Controllers (BYC) Football Club in the final of the 2018 FA Cup on Friday, October 19 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.
The Shipping Boys defeated four opponents to reach the 2018 FA Cup final. Mighty Barrolle was defeated 1-0 in round one before humiliating Stages FC 5-0 in the second round. The FA Cup title defense continued with a 2-1 win over Watanga Football Club in the third round before knocking out Monrovia Club Breweries in the semifinal with a 2-0 win.
LISCR FC are the defending champions of the FA Cup and will be playing in their second consecutive final under head coach, Tapha Manneh. The Gambian tactician guided the Shipping Boys to their third FA Cup title in 2017 with a 3-0 win over Srimex Football Club in the final.
A win for LISCR FC on Friday will be their second back-to-back FA Cup title winning. The FC Cup was first won in 2003 and was well defended in 2004 with a 2-0 win over Bassa Defender.
