LISCR Football Club can confirm the transfer of midfielder Allen Njie to Grasshopper Club Zürich of the Swiss Super League.
The 19-year-old midfielder joined the club on a four and half year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Njie leaves the Shipping Boys after making a total 19 appearances in four different competitions which include the Liberian first division league, FA Cup, CAF Champions and CAF Confederation Cup. With LISCR Football Club, he won one first division, one FA Cup and one LFA Super Cup.
Njie joined LISCR in 2016 from third division club, Pepper Football Club and made an instant impact with the Shipping Boys. He made 10 league appearances and played five times in the 2016-17 FA Cup to help LISCR Football Club finish the 2016-17 season by winning the first disvion league unbeaten and also champions of the FA Cup.
Njie made his debut in the CAF Champions League on February 11, 2017 against Al Hilal of Sudan. He played all 90 minutes and help LISCR FC grab a 1-0 win at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium before the 3-0 lost away where he made his second appearance in the CAF Champions League and played another 90-minute.
He was unable to make more appearances for the Shipping Boys during the 2018 Liberian football season as he was away from home on trials. He made one FA Cup appearance which was against Monrovia Club Breweries and a single appearances in the 2018-19 CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round. He played in the return leg on December 5 against USM Bel Abbes which LISCR won 1-0.
As a player of LISCR FC, he played for Liberia U-20 and was named the 2018 WAFU U-20 nations cup most valuable player award and made five appearances for senior national team including four appearances in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers.
